Creating university program website using Experience and Visual Design.

About My Work
The following is a showcase of the work I created while employed by the McMaster Certificate of Completion in the Engineering program. The projects I worked on ranged from website design and creation to marketing brochures and ads.
My Roles & Responsibilities
Solo Digital and UX Designer
  • User Research
  • UI/visual design
  • Wireframes
  • Wix website building
Challenges
  • This program was very new, so the marketing objectives and strategy were unclear
  • No historical data to provide insights on previous website performance and impact
  • I was responsible for both design and copy using limited resources and information
  • All designs and images were created or sourced on my own

Marketing Brochures

Each Marketing brochure was designed using brand guidelines on colour and font rules, but I was in charge of determining most design decisions. After working with each program leader and the marketing manager, I created sample and iterated designs based on the needs of each stakeholder.

Social Media Designs

Website Designs

In addition to marketing media, I worked on designing and redesigning web pages for McMaster. The following illustrates my general design process and samples of my work.

User Research

Each website design and redesign involved some of the following research methods depending on the needs of each project.

Experience Design

Depending on the needs of each project, I would analyze the data gathered during the research phase to refine the objective and choose features and content. I chose from various design information architecture and ideation tools such as user flows, user personas, customer journey map, etc.
